Title 5th/6th Rajputana Rifles crossbelt and pouch, hallmarked silver
Nationality British Empire
Period 1936
Price £500.00

This is the most senior rifle regiment of the Indian Army and was originally raised in 1921, as part of the British Indian Army, when six previously existing regiments were amalgamated to form six battalions of the 6th Rajputana Rifles.

The belt is styled after that of the Rifle Brigade, but with a king's crown rather than a guelphic one. It is fully hallmarked throughout for Birmingham 1936 and the leather is in excellent order, just with a little wear showing at the edges here and there.

testimonials

I have received the dirk and would like to take this opportunity to thank you for delivering this in a professional and timely manner.

Hanger arrived safe and sound 11.30ish today. Very pleased, it's as expected. Your excellent pics make all the difference in terms of confident buying over the net. As a matter of interest, the frog, which as you said is very a/f, is, as you thought, 'spot on'. On closer inspection it is a mk.1 Naval Frog, designated 'for cutlasses'. Date seems around 1860ish give or take.

By the way, I think your site is very user friendly. Seems to work much better than many and up to date, a rarity!!!
