1895 model Mannlicher rifle bayonet, marked for 73rd Regiment - Austrian
This was the classic KuK bayonet of the Great War. The hilt is marked for the 73rd Regiment, whose depot town was Eger, their Colonel-in-Chief being Duke Albert of Wurttemburg as of 1898. The fruitwood grips date it, as the war time ones were in oakwood. The Mannlicher was an 8mm bolt action with a five shot magazine.
