militaria item Pair of stirrups
- Ottoman
This magnificent pair of Ottoman stirrups date from the end of the 17th or early 18th century. They are of gilded iron with a star of David motif on both sides, one amidst geometric designs and the other amidst floral ones. There would seem to be a signature on both sides of the top of the stirrups, but I am not able to decipher it.

militaria item Baluchistan Police horse furniture
- British Empire
This is off a bridle or possibly some other element of horse furniture. Baluchistan Police were from the southern frontier with Afghanistan and may well have been a paramilitary organisation rather than a local police unit at that time, as I rather doubt that local police would have had such exotic horse furniture!

militaria item Bridle boss
- Unknown
This could be a French, Dutch or even a US Union bridle boss and one would have been riveted on each side of the bridle. It is a die-struck brass badge (2.7cm top to bottom) and its condition is clean with remarkably little wear.

testimonials

Yes, arrived safe and sound, very nice, and very interesting. Have a couple of friends in the States slavering over the pictures, one of them loves searching old lists, etc. If I can tie it down more definitely will let you know.
