Title Mannlicher carbine bayonet
Nationality Hungarian
Period c 1914
Sold

Carried by the old Austro-Hungarian army in the Great War, particularly by cavalry and artillery units, the distinguishing feature of this is the muzzle ring with the integral foresight. There is a Hungarian maker's mark at the forte, the grips are walnut and the scabbard has been reblued after a hard life.

There is an old, slightly careworn leather frog.
