Title Blues (Royal Horseguards) NCO's tunic & breeches
Nationality British
Period c 1960
Sold

This is the type of uniform still worn today by the Royal Horseguards (part of the Household Cavalry) on parade (eg outside sentry boxes in Whitehall). The tunic is dark blue, the breeches are soft white leather and the whole comes complete with aiguillettes, denoting NCO status.

The condition is excellent and there are various owners' names inked inside the lining. These would have been passed from man to man over the years and the last man would have taken his uniform with him on retirement. Chest measures 39 inches, waist is 34 inches.
