This silver award was struck by the city council of Louvain. It was given for civil gallantry, eg stopping a runaway horse and cart, disarming robbers, etc. It has its original silk ribbon, somewhat faded. The medal is about 32mm in diameter.

I wanted to thank you for the perfect service that you did selling and packing the swords. Everything worked perfect. At the airport I had no troubles at all, the airline took the package without been astonished at all.

Excellent information, Chris, you've been making a big effort! I will spell it out more closely (I'm a historian!) and don't think Bezdek can add much more.
