This group comprises the 25 year long service civilian cross, awarded for civil servants, the Social Welfare medal and the Air Raid Protection medal. The Social Welfare outfit was a branch of the German Red Cross and responsible for the care of widows, orphans, wounded veterans and refugees.

All these medals have worked loose from their original mounting by virtue of the cotton thread rotting over the years. I have now secured them in the correct position with three small dressmaker's pins.
