Title Hungarian War Medal 1914-18, cased
Nationality Hungarian
Period c 1920s
Sold

This is the medal for the Hungarian part of the Austrian empire when it became a separate country in 1918 at the end of WW1. It has the Hungarian coat of arms on the front, with St Stephen's crown above, and on the reverse a steel helmet with 'Pro Deo et Patria' (for God and country). It is a silver finish on base metal.

It has its original card box, which is damaged at the corners and at the hinge. However, it has a nice clean original ribbon and is in GVF condition with most of its dull tone silver finish.

I received the sword and belt this afternoon. Always a bit of a risk buying this sort of thing online but I'm very pleased with the quality of the sword and scabbard...

The bayonet arrived safe and sound this morning. It is absolutely magnificent. I am thrilled to bits with it. Thanks for all the interest you have shown.

My very best wishes, and thank you, very sincerely, once again.
