bridles

militaria item Baluchistan Police horse furniture
- British Empire
This is off a bridle or possibly some other element of horse furniture. Baluchistan Police were from the southern frontier with Afghanistan and may well have been a paramilitary organisation rather than a local police unit at that time, as I rather doubt that local police would have had such exotic horse furniture!

militaria item Bridle boss
- Unknown
This could be a French, Dutch or even a US Union bridle boss and one would have been riveted on each side of the bridle. It is a die-struck brass badge (2.7cm top to bottom) and its condition is clean with remarkably little wear.

testimonials

My order arrived safely yesterday morning as promised. I'm very pleased with my "new" additions!

Hanger arrived safe and sound 11.30ish today. Very pleased, it's as expected. Your excellent pics make all the difference in terms of confident buying over the net. As a matter of interest, the frog, which as you said is very a/f, is, as you thought, 'spot on'. On closer inspection it is a mk.1 Naval Frog, designated 'for cutlasses'. Date seems around 1860ish give or take.

By the way, I think your site is very user friendly. Seems to work much better than many and up to date, a rarity!!!
