Title Army sergeant's bayonet knot (troddel)
Nationality German
Period c 1936-45
Sold

This troddel denoted NCO status and can often be seen in pre-war and early war photos being worn with both dress and combat bayonets. The construction is just like the ORs knot, but with silver bullion and dark green cotton mix. The SS VT knot was similar, only in black cotton and siver thread, again for NCO use.

The condition is exellent for the age of the knot, the strap having old creases, the bullion somewhat tarnished.
