Title Bayonet for Gras rifle
Nationality French
Period 1877
Sold

Marked on the back of the blade 'Manufacture d'Armes de St Etienne Mars 1877'. This is the classic bayonet the French would have carried on their second bolt action black powder rifle before the Lebel was introduced in 1886.

Most of the original blue finish remains to the scabbard. The grips are a little dark from old oil stains, but are essentially in good shape. The blade has lost its factory finish, but is still nice and clean.

testimonials

The package arrived today, and the two items are nice. The Mother Cross actually looks a lot better in person than in the pics.

I am just dropping your company a line to say thank you for the 2nd WW Iron Cross, that my brother has purchased off your site Thursday evening. We received it 1st class today and it is in excellent condition. Many thanks again.
