This sabre, marked Alcoso (Alex Coppel) at the forte, has 95% original gilt finish to the hilt, with branch of service indicated by crossed sabres on the langet. The scabbard has perhaps 50% original paint finish over gun-blue base. The grip is plastic wrap over wooden core with gilt wiring and the blade plain with all its nickel silver finish.

One red eye in the hilt is a replacement, not quite matching in colour to the original.
