Title 13th Duke of Connaught's Own Lancers officer's side cap badge
Nationality British Empire
Period c 1922-56
Price £70.00

This badge (just over 3 cm high), stamped 'Gaunt London' on the reverse, would have been worn on an officer's side cap. In 1923, the 31st DCO Lancers and the 32nd Lancers were amalgamated to form this unit (the 13th DOC Lancers). Both regiments had a common origin in the old Bombay Squadron of Cavalry, raised for service under Lord Lake.

The badge is essentially of gilding metal, gilt, with design highlights in silver (viz '13' and regimental title). Its condition is excellent.

Just a short note to let you know that I have collected the Police fur cap this morning from the Post Office. I am really happy with it, and for sure I will give a thumbs-up to your service. This was the first item I ever bought from you, and I hope it will not be the last.
