The badge of this famous regiment was worn from the late 19th century through to the 1960s, when Staybrite badges replaced it. Latterly, after partition in 1922, the regiment was renamed the Royal Ulster Rifles. This unit served with great distinction in both wars. The white metal badge is rather grubby, with nicotine deposit etc, but would clean very nicely with a little ammonia and soap. |
