These were introduced in 1933, when the black/white/red of the new regime replaced the black/gold/red colours of the Weimar era, adding a wreath of oak leaves to the former rather plain cap roundel. The Reichsadler was worn above this. There was also a bullion version in spun aluminium wire.

Slightly soiled, but obviously from an ex-POW last-pattern tunic, which was modelled on the short tank top British battle dress. Also used extensively by U-boat crews. This particular model is definitely Army, however, indicated by the colours white on green. Made of BeVo material, cut from an oblong patch.

testimonials

Incredibly, I received your shipment today. Super fast delivery, I was expecting it on Saturday. The helmet was, as you said, 100%. The side cap is excellent also...

Hanger arrived safe and sound 11.30ish today. Very pleased, it's as expected. Your excellent pics make all the difference in terms of confident buying over the net. As a matter of interest, the frog, which as you said is very a/f, is, as you thought, 'spot on'. On closer inspection it is a mk.1 Naval Frog, designated 'for cutlasses'. Date seems around 1860ish give or take.

By the way, I think your site is very user friendly. Seems to work much better than many and up to date, a rarity!!!
