This rare badge in zinc was in all probability a 'bronze' example which has now absorbed all its original finish. There is no maker's mark, as is to be expected on these badges. This badge was instituted 30 January 1944 and was given for 30 days' anti-partisan combat, principally in the Balkans and behind the lines in Russia.

The pin could be an old replacement, otherwise the badge is in excellent shape for its age.
