Kaiser Karl Coronation medal as King of Hungary - Hungarian
This commemorates the coronation of Karl IV in Budapest on 30 December 1916. He was the last of the Habsburgs to rule as King of Hungary and Emperor of Austria. The medal shows him on horseback in front of a gathering of Hungarian nobility, wearing the St Stephen's crown with the bent cross. He reigned for two years (until 1918).

Bronze medal for the liberation of Upper Hungary - Hungarian
Awarded in silver and bronze to all troops who took part in this peaceful operation, it celebrated the carve-up of the rump of Czechoslovakia in 1938 by Hitler and Mussolini. The image is of Francis II Rakoczi (1676-1735), who led a Hungarian revolt against Habsburg rule 1703-11. He was born at Borsa in present day Slovakia, a suitable local hero!

Silver plaque of Count Tisza - Hungarian
This silver plaque is cast in relief with the head of Count Stepan Tisza, Prime Minister of Hungary in 1914, who was assassinated in 1918 by the Bolsheviks in their short-lived rising in Hungary. Also cast in relief are: his name and title in Hungarian, the date 1907 (top left), and the sculptor's monogram FBO, or a combination of these (right).
