This little gem measures 22mm across and shows the regimental title, battle honours, Tiger & Sphinx motif, and is die struck on one side, with 'Tug of War // 1bn Games // Landikotal1930' engraved on the other. The practice of awarding these fob-type medals started c. 1900.

The medal (4.5cm across) was presented by P Henderson, presumably a teacher at a piping school. It is just possible that this is an American or Canadian piece as the use of the word 'silver' rather than hallmarks is a more trans-Atlantic than Scottish practice.
