Title Fob medal, RNVR (Sussex Division)
Nationality British
Period 1950
Price £25.00

The RND was raised in the Great War from men from the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve. The enamel medieval sailing ship device is the heraldic emblem of the Cinque Ports of southern England and was also used by the Sussex Division of the RNVR, who, as part of the RND, fought with great distinction at Gallipoli and later on the Western Front in WW1.

The reverse is marked Sussex Division, but is otherwise unnamed. The condition is fine for its age; the enamel is in good shape and there is just a little age wear. It is fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1950 and comes in a little card jeweller's box, stamped on the lid 'The Sussex Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Ltd, Castle Square, Brighton'. The lid has puncture mark.

All these RND/RNVR medals came together from one source.

Thank you for the bayonet... I am absolutely thrilled with it. Look forward to more purchases from you.

I received the silver Verdienstkreuz this morning. Your swiftness and dedication was very much appreciated and, though the envelope arrived with a Post Office sticker saying it had been found open or damaged, the cross was unharmed and looks beautiful. Thanks for your time.
